The objective of the regional conference is to explore the topic of adult education, starting from the model of Højskolen Østersøen, based on lectures, workshops and discussion and to see if the model from the German-Danish border region can also be applied in other European regions.
Højskolen Østersøen was founded in 1993 as an establishment for adult education. Intensive language courses in German and Danish and fostering understanding between the different cultural backgrounds and societal structures are given special emphasis.
